This adapter will allow you to use Dioptrx Astigmatism Correcting Lenses with eyepieces having smaller eyeguards, in particular the 24mm Panoptic, 19mm Panoptic and 20mm Nagler Type 5 eyepieces Tele Vue considers eye relief acceptable when using this adapter and the Dioptrx, particularly at night when your eye pupil enlarges. However, in bino - viewer applications, with Dioptrx attached, "nose - relief" may hinder use of the 24mm and 19mm Panoptics. For normal operation of any of these eyepieces without Dioptrx, the adapter can be left permanently attached since operation with the provided larger eyeguard is quite comfortable.
